I'd like to say charming family of 6. Probably would be more appropriate to call it like I see it. I am the ring leader of my favorite circus and it's pretty much non-stop entertainment. If I can just stay awake so I don't miss it.

HALLOWEEN 2010

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
OCTOBER 31, 2010

I dumped all of the halloween costumes out and let the kids help themselves to the pile. Oliver was torn between two options. Darth vader and a pirate. So he decided to do both while riding his sisters pink big wheel.

Being able to go trick or treating in your shorts and a t-shirt was entirely new for us this year.

Marissa posing with her Dad. Her favorite part of Halloween is the
make-up. She couldn't wait to get in to my makeup and get all fancied up for Halloween.

We had some friends down the street invite us over to their corner. They live in a circle and closed the circle to traffic so the kids who were finished trick-or-treating could ride their bikes, scooter, big wheels, etc and play. Since we had already been to the trunk or treat we (Paul and I) weren't planning on doing much more trick or treating. I took Oliver and Marissa down and up a couple of streets.

Some of our neighbors are really into Halloween. They go all out. Oliver was loving all the different decorations.

Oliver really liked the witch who blew bubbles filled with smoke. Luke was wired after eating lots and lots of candy.

We really enjoyed our first warm Halloween. It totally changed the experience. The kids were able to wear whatever costume they wanted. The neighbors sat out front and visited while handing out candy. It was sped up the process when you don't have to walk up every driveway and knock on every door. One family even set up their bounce house in the front so the trick or treaters could have a bouncing session. I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I was recovering from pneumonia and was supposed to be taking it easy.
