I'd like to say charming family of 6. Probably would be more appropriate to call it like I see it. I am the ring leader of my favorite circus and it's pretty much non-stop entertainment. If I can just stay awake so I don't miss it.

KINDERGARDEN FALL PROGRAM

November 18, 2010
Marissa's Kindergarden Fall Program
I didn't get to go. It would have been to crazy to take all the kids to go see it.
Paul went and took these great pictures.

Marissa was a snowflake!

Fortunately Oliver is photogenic. So I have some great pictures of him just being
himself this week to use as filler. He loves his Dad's ties. If Paul doesn't put his ties
away when he gets home the kids play with it.

HOMEMADE SUMO

NOVEMBER 15, 2010

Marissa and Andrew came downstairs like this. I was cracking up. They are so funny.

This is Olivers contribution.

We had one round of sumo. Unfortunately the picture turned out blurry.

Andrew posing with his well stuffed shirt.

Time to unload some extra junk.

Ahhhhh back to normal. Andrew seems a little disappointed. They have the "now what do we do" face on. I'm sure they came up with something. They always do.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVER!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
OLIVER IS 3 YEARS OLD.
UNFORTUNATELY HE PLAYED SO HARD ALL DAY THAT HE FELL ASLEEP BEFORE THE PARTY STARTED. I AM TRYING TO WAKE HIM UP WITH LITTLE SUCCESS.

WHEN CUPCAKES ARE INVOLVED OLIVER IS THERE!
WORTH HIS RUDE AWAKENING BY MOM!

LUKE WAS ENJOYING THE CELEBRATION.

LUCKY OLIVER IS YOUNG ENOUGH THAT HE DOESN'T CARE THAT I WASN'T ABLE TO MAKE A CAKE FOR HIM. I HAVE BEEN SICK FOR WEEKS NOW AND CANNOT PULL OFF ANOTHER CAKE. IT HELPS THAT THE KIDS LOVE CUPCAKES.

OLIVER LOVES CUPCAKES. HE REALLY LOVES NEW TOYS. GRANPA AND GRANDMA IBA SENT HIM THIS CAR TRACK. IT WAS A HIT!

PAUL AND I GOT HIM THIS TRAIN. HE ABSOLUTELY LOVES TRAINS. ALL OF THE KIDS WERE EXCITED ABOUT THIS TOY.

GRANDMA AND GRANDPA IBA SENT LUKE A PRESENT AS WELL. IT IS PERFECT!!

I CANT BELIEVE MY LITTLE OLIVER IS 3 ALREADY. THEY JUST GROW UP TO FAST.

HALLOWEEN 2010

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
OCTOBER 31, 2010

I dumped all of the halloween costumes out and let the kids help themselves to the pile. Oliver was torn between two options. Darth vader and a pirate. So he decided to do both while riding his sisters pink big wheel.

Being able to go trick or treating in your shorts and a t-shirt was entirely new for us this year.

Marissa posing with her Dad. Her favorite part of Halloween is the
make-up. She couldn't wait to get in to my makeup and get all fancied up for Halloween.

We had some friends down the street invite us over to their corner. They live in a circle and closed the circle to traffic so the kids who were finished trick-or-treating could ride their bikes, scooter, big wheels, etc and play. Since we had already been to the trunk or treat we (Paul and I) weren't planning on doing much more trick or treating. I took Oliver and Marissa down and up a couple of streets.

Some of our neighbors are really into Halloween. They go all out. Oliver was loving all the different decorations.

Oliver really liked the witch who blew bubbles filled with smoke. Luke was wired after eating lots and lots of candy.

We really enjoyed our first warm Halloween. It totally changed the experience. The kids were able to wear whatever costume they wanted. The neighbors sat out front and visited while handing out candy. It was sped up the process when you don't have to walk up every driveway and knock on every door. One family even set up their bounce house in the front so the trick or treaters could have a bouncing session. I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I was recovering from pneumonia and was supposed to be taking it easy.

Ward Trunk or Treat
Marissa really wanted to be Zoe from the Rolly Polly Ollie Cartoon. The costume came with a very large helmet/hat. She didn't like that so went without it. Makes the costume hard to define but she's adorable so we all went with it.

I totally took the easy road with Luke. Pirate headband. The quick and easy answer to a costume for a one year old.

While looking for my Oliver I found a wee little pirate sneaking across the boarder in the dark. I seemed to have caught him off guard.

More great pictures of our pirate Oliver. I took way to many pictures of him.
He was making the cutest faces. These are just my favorites.

We had tons of fun at the party. The kids gathered way to much candy and
came home ready to go trick or treating again in a couple of days.

Day out for car repair

October 26, 2010
We found out yesterday that the engine mounts on the van are cracked and
have to be replaced. Paul and I are super sick. However with Paul home I have
to use this chance to take the van in to get it fixed. So I left Luke home with
Dad and Oliver and I went and dropped of the van for repair.

We dropped of the van and walked to the nearest shopping center to hang out. Oliver has this little hammer that he brought with him and he was using it like a cane. At first I didn't know what he was doing. After I asked he said he was Grandpa. Grandpa is the old man in the movie "Up". He loves that movie right now. I had to get a picture. It was to funny.

We shopped at a few stores and went to lunch at Subway. I wasn't expecting this little outing with Oliver to be so much fun. He was funny and sweet. We had a great time.

CUTE!!

Tried to shoot a picture of the two of us. Didn't turn out as well as I had hoped.

I got my hands on some hot rollers and had some fun.

Happy Birthday Luke!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
LUKE ANTHONY IBA
OCTOBER 25, 2010
Our sweet Luke is 1 years old today.

I needed to make a cake so I put a movie on the portable DVD player for Oliver to keep him busy. He pulled up the Care Bear chair and got comfortable. Apparently he got very comfortable and fell asleep sitting up. Where he then promptly fell over.

I had the kids help with the party. Marissa and Andrew helped wrap the presents and Oliver helped clean the frosting beaters off.

Luke had no idea why we had filled a bag with paper. He was more than happy to take it all out though and was excited to find a ball at the bottom of the bag. The kids really loved using tissue paper!

Paul snapped a couple of pictures of me finishing Luke's cake. I made a big mess filling up the frosting bag so Marissa helped clean it up for me.

I had a lot of big helpers. They all wanted to make Luke's first birthday special. Marissa got the best job of us all. Yummmmmmm!!

This little push cart is one of the toys Luke got for his big day.
He put his new ball in it and a stuffed puppy and
pushed it around the rest of the night. He loved it.

Now this is my favorite part. Give him a candle to blow out. Oliver couldn't stand the candle being lit. So he blew it out for Luke. Then we gave him his own piece and he tore it up.

Everyone enjoyed some cake and ice cream.

Luke enjoyed it the most. A whole piece of cake all to himself. Now there is a happy boy.

I'm really greatful that it turned out. I got really sick a few days before this and felt terrible this whole day. I really wanted Luke to have his party so we got it together and made it happen. This picture makes it all worth it.
