I'd like to say charming family of 6. Probably would be more appropriate to call it like I see it. I am the ring leader of my favorite circus and it's pretty much non-stop entertainment. If I can just stay awake so I don't miss it.

Rat Fink Hot Rod Festival in Manti Utah

Rat Fink Hot Rod Festival in Manti Utah

Paul came home from Arizona for the weekend and took the kids to Manti for a Hot Rod event. They had tons of fun.

They went with some of our friends and found all kinds of cool stuff. For starters a couch made to look like the back of a pink cadillac.

See the ugly green rat thing on the freezer. That is a rat fink. The guy who drew it is famous for it so I can't get into how much I personally dislike the look of a rat fink. It made someone rich and now they celebrate him every year in Manti. The adorable Marissa makes up for Sir Ugly.

They had a lot of fun with our friends.
Marie, Andy, and their two boys.

I picked this one out of what seemed like hundreds of pictures Paul took of various cars. I liked this one the most because Marissa is in it. She takes great pictures.

Paul did a great job on this picture. They played the whole day. This was some great Dad time for them. He is gone more then he is home these days and that is so hard.

Andrew successfully climbed up onto this platform in the tree. Then he just hung out and had some water. Enjoyed the view.

Let us all give a big thumbs up with the creator of the Rat Fink.

Preschool Graduate!!

May 27, 2010

Attended Marissa's Preschool program.

It was adorable. She did great.

Lots of singing and dancing. Everyone had a part in the program. They told jokes. Marissa's was: What kind of cat should you not play cards with?

A Cheetah

Marissa and Mrs. King.
We are going to miss here. Andrew had her for preschool to. It will be hard to find a teacher we love as much in Arizona.

Back in Utah! Staying with the Iba's.

Cowboy DAY!!

I'm not sure how the whole cowboy thing started. It didn't take long before everyone was in on it.

It ended with Oliver falling a sleep with his Cowboy hat still on.

Sally Sue here has green hair. Somebody get that girl a Cowgirl hat.

These two look so handsome. Grandpa and Andrew. Now here we have some handsome cowboys, ready for a roundup.

Luke has started doing some pushups in
anticipation of crawling soon. It's only a matter of time before he is all over the place.

We went to Staysha's house and played with their bubble machine. The kids loved it. It was strange being just around the corner from our old house but not going home their.

Then comes Rigby Idaho. Playing with more cousins.

Movie night at the Christensen's. WOW!! That is a lot of boys. I love the little circle of girlie colors in the middle of the room. Poor Marissa, she is so out numbered. When Beau wasn't hanging out with Oliver he was chilling with Luke.

Oliver loves Beau. All my kids do but Oliver was really into hanging out with Beau on this trip. It was really cute to see him hanging out with the biggest boy in the house. Beau was awesome with the little monkeys.

Andrew was really excited to go to Aunt Daryleen's to see Devin. We slept over for a couple of days. He rarely gets this much fun time with just one set of cousins. It was also a lot of boys and boy chaos.

Handsome smiling at the camera.

Andrew went for a ride with Uncle Cad. I was proud of him. Marissa was to chicken and Oliver wanted nothing to do with the helmet or the 4-wheeler. He hates loud noises.

He however, LOVES dirt. This was equal to a birthday. A giant pile of dirt. Oooooo the mess. We had some really REALLY dirty boys by the time the day was done.

I love this picture of the boys on the tractor. It reminds me of when I was a kid going on rides on the tractor. I loved it. You can tell they think its really cool to.

Playing in Idaho!! Our adventure begins. Homeless, couch surfacing.

In complete Idaho fashion, the weather is unreliable. Fortunately the kids don't mind to much

Couldn't keep them out of the rain. I had them inside at some point but they snuck back out. They told me the rain had stopped.

This is my favorite picture of Andrew and Marissa. Look at her smiling up at him. So sweet!

Oliver has played so hard he has a blister he is pointing out on his toe.

Luke and Andrew playing together.

We love playing at Grandpa and Grandma Tabors. It's non-stop fun.

Our Grand Exit!!

First thing in the morning we took the kids and all of our suitcases over to Grandpa and Grandma Iba's. They are going to play all day while we do all the work. Lucky!!!

It's really surprising how much stuff you have when you have to put it all in boxes and make it fit on a truck. I can't figure out how we accumulated so much stuff so fast. The best part is when you plan ahead of time to be really organized with your packing and at the end you have lost the ability to care. I have created some REALLY random boxes these last couple of days.

Whenever I see this picture, I think it looks like the house regurgitated all of our stuff out on the driveway through the garage of course. Getting everything outside happened really fast. Loading the truck was slow and precise. If it was all going to fit. It was amazing to see it happen. The only thing that didn't make it on was my food storage barrels.

We went back to Grandpa and Grandma's and found the kids crashed out on a mattress on the floor.

In the morning Marissa asked me if we were going back home now. I couldn't help but laugh. I explained to her plenty of times that we weren't going to be coming home and that it wasn't going to be our house anymore. Sooooooo......

We took the kids back to the house so they could see it for themselves. They ran around in all the open spaces and there were plenty of those.

They opened every closet and cupboard and called each other to come and see. I think it helped Marissa understand that it wasn't our house anymore.

Oliver was thinking it was just a different kind of party. He was playing with the only thing that was left. The roll of plastic wrap on the floor in the front room. Goofy kid. He was running around, talking loud, like the other kids.

Oliver still won't take a group picture.

No offense to the rest of you but this is definitely my favorite group of monkeys.

It's exciting to experience something new and different. It's sad to say goodbye to our first home. We really enjoyed living in Sandy. We have so many wonderful memories of this house. I'm excited for our next chapter and seriously I am really glad that the moving out phase is over. Atleast it feels like we are halfway done. Sheesh, I am exhausted.

Our last night!!

Oliver is watching a movie on a 3 inch screen. It's the only the T.V. left and we need him to stay out of the way. He doesn't seem to mind.

We decided to have fun with our last night in the house. We moved all the furn
iture out of the way in the family room and moved the kids mattresses down. We decided to have a good-bye party with a movie and snacks. The kids were really into it. It's basically a great big sleepover for them. I'm sleeping in my own bed.

Dad arrived home from California just in time for the show.

Marissa has her moving buddy. She is daddy's girl 100%.

These two boys have a lot in common. They even sleep the same way. Arms out and belly buttons showing.

This was so much fun and will be a great memory. I don't think any of them will even remember it, except maybe Andrew. Starting tomorrow we have two days to move everything out and clean the house. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.
